families it serves. All medical information is considered confidential
and is not discussed with outside parties unless it is required for
assistance and the injured or injured parent(s) or guardian(s) have
given their consent

Refer-a-RiderReferring an injured rider is one of the most important parts of
helping the Foundation accomplish its mission. Helping those injured
starts when a caring person refers a rider to the foundation. Learn
about who is eligible and how we accept referrals so you can help us
begin and succeed in serving those injured Eligibility
All people hurt participating in action sports are eligible for funding.

Who Can Refer and HowParents, siblings, friends, and the injured rider can refer/apply for assistance. In order to obtain support the applicant must submit an eligibility form. The eligibility form includes the applicants name, address, phone number, heath insurance inquiry, financial inquiry and story submission instructions. The submission instructions require the recipient to include a detail description of the named accident that has left them injured, the medical procedures taken to repair the body, the psychological journey, the medical recovery process and how this accident has impacted and/or changed their life. What assistance can the injured rider getThe foundation helps offset expenses for underinsured/uninsured injured riders by assisting with their health care costs, prescription costs, and rehabilitation costs. Each recipient's form is read and reviewed by a panel that decides the financial support by the severity of the injury and the lack of financial support to help with the expenses incurred. The grants are given on behalf of the injured rider and assistance will be sent to those service providers. How long will it take to process my applicationThe Reviewing process takes approximately 30 days to review and an additional 30 days to receive the grant. All grants are limited by funds available and the severity of the injury. In low level funding grants may be limited.
